Is this a one for one swap with my alternator? How exactly would this work? All i see are descriptions of the system but no real mounting or reviews of the system. It sure looks cool and would be less hell to change that the durned alternating system in the fxr already. Anyone have any insight?

A magneto doesn't replace the alternator. You still need the alt. for lights. A magneto replaces your points or electronic ignition. You can also get rid of the battery with the addition of a capacitor, I think it's called. Someone on this board will show up eventually that knows alot more than I do. My only experience with a magneto was helping my son rebuild the one on his 63 Sporty. Joe Hunt and Morris magnetos are both quality products. Good luck
