Harley fork 33,4 with fx 1” stem assembly
Hello guys,
I bought a 33,4 fork and just needed to assemble it but its not going great..took me a long time to put those fork damperkit in..then put the tube in with the spring and it doesn’t move, thats normal i guess there is something wrong cause the tube should move up and down but it does nothing. Still need to add oil to the forks but that’s not it.
Also tried checking the tubes in the topplate and they only go in halfway so there not much room to bolt it in..sorry for the bad english im from 🇧🇪.
Thanks for reply

Going to need more info and pics to solve this one, there’s half a dozen reasons this could be happening. Could be an incorrect part or installation, but one things for certain the tubes should move in the slider, to what extent varies but it should have movement.
Jim also hit it on the head, that listing is fucked, HD went to Kayaba 35mm in 1973.
What year are your sliders as well because there were also differences in terms of design to accommodate for seals that occurred between 1968-72’?
I might be wrong but didn’t 71-72’ use a different damper kit than 70’ down?Last edited by ExplodingCoffinEmporium; 08-18-2022 at 8:38 PM.
