    Default 1974 Shovelhead

Hi, Havnt been back to post in a long time. Just recently picked up a 74 Shovelhead FX, It has an electric starter now also.
I am having trouble figuring out what I want to do for foot pegs, The Shifter side is extended (5") roughly than the brake side. I am looking to either go Mid control (no one seems to have any) or look for this particular style of forwards.

I like these seem higher than normal, but nor forward past frame.
If anyone knows what particular "Model/Version" these are would be interested to know.

If I cant find something like this, I got used to the mids on my Fxr, so mids would even be an option (If I could find any)

    Thanks for any information.

Download the factory service manual and all the parts books ya can find for reference.

Stock mids are easy to find used and some are painted (which I prefer because chrome pits and used parts are generally pitted).

I hate forwards because I can't take the weight off my back when surmounting bumps. It's worth it to get the parts since ya only get one back and when that goes bad it's no fun.

Random pic shows what they look like:

Thats the set I was looking at buying.
But see its missing the Master and mount. (which I would use the master I have and find a mount)

Wife is going to use this as her learner bike, so something comfortable is what I am looking after.

    Been re-popped ...

Wagner chrome mid brake control kit is a replacement for mid style transmission mount as on 1972-1985 Superglide.
    Master cylinder is not included.

Hadn't seen a complete kit for the shifter ...

Would need to piece it together ..

Will be needing a inner primary with the shifter hole in it ...
And all the small parts which are available ...
