I have one of those 8" tls brakes on my chop, and its actually way too much braking power for a long fork. It just locks up and bounces in emergencies, went down once when a deer jumped over my front wheel one morning, then slid on the footpeg and somehow bounced back on the wheels. Its a great brake! Maybe just not for longforks.

Thats wild! I haven't measured out how long my forks will be, but they won't be much longer than stock, maybe a couple of inches. The frame I got has a raked-out neck and had an 81' Kawasaki 750 front end, kinda weird on an old flatty but the stance was nice.
