    Default Evo project

Bought an 96 evo softail that i planned to use as a start to a new build.
I dont know how its gonna look in the end but i have some ideas.

The frame gonna be hardtailed and use the stock softail axel plates from the swingarm.
It will be streetched 6" and have 38 degree rake.

Im gonna use a 2000- sportster front end with +12" tubes.

Using the Softail axle lugs is a nice touch. There was a shop in Virginia, near me, that was doing that years ago and their hardtail conversions looked very nice.

Yes they look good and fun to re use some parts from the original bike. But those plain cnc cut axel plates are really boring so they where never an option.

The frame parts thats going in the trash, ain’t gonna be much left of the stock frame.

Aren't you going to need the stock neck for numbers or something???

yes should retain the neck with the Harley serial number , that way you can just re-insure the bike and ride it when its finished
