Thanks.. Paint and a cleanup, mostly..

The lowers are the wrecked ones from the cycle junkyard. The tanks are sprayed with rattle can. The wiring needs cleaned up better.. Fender washers where I should have turned down some nice spacers.. Etc.

Hey.. What are all the cool, young, whippersnappers using to paint their frames now instead of the Imron, urethane single stage, we used to use back in the Fred Flintstone era?

Are you pretty set on spray or are you open to powder coating? Coming from a heavy paint background working in shops I always had a bias against PC, but over the years and having a few bros own PC shops, there is definitely something to be said for the range of colors as well as durability of it.

Kinda set on paint. I used to paint cars too, and an IMRON type single stage would have been perfect back then. We used basecoat for most everything else. But a bike frame? It would have been a 2K primer and Imron.

What are you guys replacing it with now?

Man o man, you’ve got a good looking garage setup. From your auction threads I’m looking at a man ready to quit his full time job and open a repair and machine shop.

lol.. Thanks.. And I'm glad you mentioned that. I LOVE that setup and it is a simple and a cheap one. It is a pallet rack a friend gave me from his garage when he moved. If you need lightweight, walk under, storage space in a really tall area? They're the perfect shelves. You can get them cheap from FB or CL.

And I already run a legit, commercial, repair business. Mostly because it's a great way to have a bunch of projects! lol.
