Part Identification, Please
I bought a bunch of panhead parts from a guy. It was an all or nothing deal, and I really needed a few of the parts, so I bought the whole lot. I will be selling some of the parts off on here and the AMCA site, as well as the local Charlotte NC Craig's List.
Anyway, in the boxes was this thing here. I think it might be a gas filter, but I'm not sure. I looked in the Panhead Parts book I have, but didn't see it.
Any ideas?

Gas strainer that bolts on the lnkert gas inlet. If I remember right the early and later have different thread on the linkert inlet. That one is later (1950?) because it has the later (on the side) gas line connection, instead of the early nipple and flare set up. Also the real early ones have a x knurling on the bottom instead of the straight. Has it got the screen inside?

There is a big cork washer that seals up the whole thing. Cant remember if it goes under the screen or over it. CRS

Thank you all. Great info. I'll hang on to the part and look for the cork washers.
