Ratchet lid spring is broken................ If you can't get to it, Pull the primary so you can get the ratchet cover off.............. No need to pull the trans............

If it won't go into neutral in normal operation, that would indicate that the clutch is dragging.

So not running It will not go Into a good solid neutral, I can kinda get it into neutral but as soon as I roll the bike any it clicks and drops into gear. This happens with or without the clutch installed. Got the bike running the other day must have been in a false neutral fucker dropped into gear and took off without me lol!

Yep just as I thought in the beginning............. But since it's new to you it could be several things......... It could be something as simple as the trans isn't set up correctly.......

Thank god the kick stand caught it! And the grass was wet it just peeled out till I could turn it off.

Are you confident that you know what the shift pattern is, or are you trying to find a neutral between third and fourth? I do not ask this question idly; you would not be the first who has done so.

I would assume it’s the same as 99% of the other 4 speeds out there. 1n234

I have replaced the easy stuff first , replaced the ratchet springs and the pawls and pawl springs.

Your shifter arm is on the bottom of the ratchet lid??????? Pics would be real nice...........
