Yes, you are correct!.. It would have been just behind the pin (where the pin should be) in the first recessed area just above the top of the backbone, a raised digit 5mm tall. What year do you think it is?

I know man, I just didn't think it was there, to be honest you have to look veeeeery closely, keep in mind photos are all I have at the moment as well, you were right from the beginning no doubt, should have looked at that earlier

Thanks man!.. This thread helped me date a frame also. I received it with the head lopped off, all covered in thick, shitty candy orange paint. Based on what I was told and how it compared to others I was thinking it's most likely a 1980 beltdrive frame. Scraped paint from the top right mount area yesterday and found an H0, so I'm assuming Aug 1980.
