Default 06 Johnny Pag Spyder 300cc clutch

I came across a 06 Johnny Pag Spyder with only 9k miles in great shape. Only issue is the clutch. It's like it's hard to find neutral or the proper gear. Opened it up and it looks fine but a little spring that was on the inside of the crankcase connected to the clutch cable was broken on the end. New to riding and I dont really want to to it to a shop if it's something fixable at home. Anyone got any ideas what the issue could be??

You can download a pdf copy of a service manual here, for the Spyder and for the Barhog models, which may be helpful:

I know this thread is 6 months old but just in case you haven't figured it out yet the engine and transmission in the Johnny Pag is just a Honda Rebel clone. I replaced the clutch in mine with a 2007 Rebel clutch and have had no problems.
