Not Another '01 Bobber Build!! Twisted Choppers Hardtail Install
Ok, so here is what I started with. My dad's '01 Sportster Custom, which I promised to love, honor, and cherish in his absence.
I put the spoked rear off my dyna on it, got rid of the solid rear, which made me happy for a minute.

Not able to leave well enough alone, I put a different rear fender on it, chopped it off, chopped the seat supports, put on some drag bars . . . and didn't like it. I put a smaller tank on it, don't have pictures of that, which made it look less like a water buffalo, but it still wasn't right, soooo.
Apart it all came.

Measured and chopped.
I really liked the Twisted Choppers hardtail. More money, but I love the result. Super easy to install and really nice craftsmanship.

Roughed out and ready for plumbing and wiring. Hit some snags getting the brakes to bleed properly. Some of that was axle spacing.

This weekend took it for a spin. Still a few issues to work out, and will take it all apart, paint, powder coat late spring next year.
Only thing left of the original bike is the engine, front wheel, and the front part of the frame.Last edited by Mephisto; 11-09-2015 at 1:38 PM.

Did you just rattle
Can the frame for this year? Just did that eith mine. Plan on powder coating next winter… hope the rattle can holds up till then haha
