Longbike Pan Build
I started a thread on this build back in February, but it got lost apparently. Picked up this old show-bike frame back in February. I had a '60 pan I was working on at the time, but when I saw this setup come up for sale I pulled the drivetrain out of it and sold off the other roller to buy this thing. It came with a girder that was too short and a springer that was too long (go figure). '57 straight leg frame with a lot of work, something like 10" up stretch and 48° of rake. Molded in peanut tank, windowed neck. '60 FL engine that seems tight, '47 trans that needs a little love. Back wheel is an original invader reworked to run a disc instead of a pan drum, front wheel is a new invader from Led Sled with a 7.5" mini disc. Frontend is a recent Denvers from Mondo with drop rockers of my own design; 3" of trail and no flop. Got it mocked up as a roller this weekend for the first time and had to push it outside for a good look. Lots to do still, and I'll have some stupid questions since it's my first pan and I've not actually heard it run yet. Needs wiring, plumbing, find an oil tank that fits (there's some molded in peg mounts that hit a stock pan horseshoe tank), different exhaust, steering stops, paint, blah, blah, blah. This is not gonna be a fast build. I'd like to be riding it in primer by early spring, paint to follow.
