1988 sportster chopper wiring from scratch
What’s up fellas!
I’m picking up a 1988 sportster next week.
It’s a roller with wheels frame and engine. There is no stock wiring so I’m gunna have to do it from scratch and I have no idea how. I’ve seen a few diagrams online but they are all a little different. I looking for the most basic wiring set up. Thanks In advance!

Some states don't require turn signals, if your in one of them you can eliminate those.

pgs 63-71 cover a bunch of different simplified wiring diagrams.
Hope this helps some, good luck, wiring is sooooooooooooooooooooo fun
Although I have found starting from scratch is much much easier than trying to chase down a short in an existing system (for me anyhow)
good luck on your project. Interested to see the progress. (I have a 2000 xl that is the next project in the wings so to speak)
