removing the front pulley on a belt driven revtec 100 CI

After all these years I've never had to pull a front pulley on my belt driven rev tech 100 ci, so I'm posting a question Is the pulley threated right, I believe it is just want to make sure. it's 2003 Big Mike chopper and never had the pulley off. It's held by I believe an 1" 3/4" nut. Thanks if you answer.

The pulley is on splines ...

Take off the nut and you'll see the splines ..
Pulley will pull off the sprocket shaft ..

Yes, standard right hand thread on the motor shafts.

The 2 holes are threaded, if it doesn't just "pull off"

Id recommend having a blowtorch on hand to heat up that pulley nut before you start crankin on it. It may have a good dollop of red loctite on the threads. Did you already take the belt off as your gonna need to lockup that motor in order to free the nut otherwise your just gonna be rotating the crank.

You might find the pulley is tight on the splines, I use a harmonic balancer puller to remove mine so I dont damage anything - just a tip!

and put something under the tip of the puller so you don't fuck up the center in the sprocket shaft

Yes, but I got the pulley of. A little jerry rigging to hold the pulley with the broken belt to hold it. I appreciate all the expertise and advice, great site for an old dude messing with his first chopper. I have always rode Harley's (owned five of them, but wore them out traveling and going to Sturgis 10 years in a row). I've always wanted one of these, now after a little fixing (I am not a mechanic wouldn't want to insult the profession by saying I was) but I like to tinker
