Panhead 3/8 or 1/4 hard oil lines?

I have a set of 3/8 aluminum hard oil lines for the panhead but I'm having clearance issues. I was wondering if I can use 1/4 copper and bend it myself. Are there any issues from reducing the tubing size?

Yes, there is an issue: flow. Stick to the 3/8 size. And I hope your lines are cad plated steel, and not aluminum. Aluminum lines may not survive the vibration.

That's what I figured. You are correct they are the v twin cad plated steel.
