Damn right.Buddy of mine is a black Canadian working as a Doctor in the UK. He's stuck his neck out working on the Covid-19 frontline over here, he's alright with me.

Misty Copeland is amazingly talented too.

The woman I work for runs the companies Inclusion and Diversity group and we had an interesting discussion last week. We were talking about being targeted just by the way you look. I mentioned that as a young biker I used to get pulled over all the time, and some of the cops were really less than respectful. But the difference, as I also pointed out, if I went home and put on clean pants and a button collar shirt there was not even more than a second look at me.

Growing up in an all white farming community in the 50s and 60s I was not exactly exposed to diversity, however my Dad, who served as a Marine, taught me that all men are equal and that in his experience there were just as many worthless white people as black or brown.

I did not meet my first person of color until my own service days, and what I experienced held up what he taught me.

Racism is just another 'ism' meant to divide people which makes them easier to rule over. At least that is my 2 cents.

All true....but i thought we were singing the virtues of black bikes as apposed to...green bikes.. which I'm told are unlucky. In which case you hang a bell from it to undo the Voodoo of the green paint .....so ya, bikes are 'sposed to be black...unless you sell little bells, then I guess you'd prefer green.

Nice paint! I want to try green flames over purple.
I'm not superstitious either, tho' after a potentially fatal incident on the dragstrip years ago 'Lady Luck' appeared as a cartoon decal on some of my rides.

You do the fab work for that tank?

Most smaller tanks on twin cam frames look like shit. That one turned out great.

Fab work? Haha it's a late 80s Honda rebel tank they bolt right on to the factory front mount on the square backbone with no modification just drill and tap a hole (or weld in a bung)Click image for larger version.

I've seen a million threads about people re-tunneling tanks to make them fit the square backbone. I like your idea much better.
