I have run this tire for 3-4 years now. Rides great. It’s on a hardtail with a foot clutch too. I can definitely feel when I lean over onto the edge, but it is totally manageable. It’s never presented an issue with sticking or turning. It’s good for burnouts as well. 👍🏻Click image for larger version.

Quick mock up while I work on the rear wheel and try to finish up the wiring.

Got the rear wheel put back together. New bearings, new rubber. This tire is a lot taller than the stock one. No rubbing issues sitting still, but I'm sure that will change with all the potholes in Columbus. I managed to break off the brakestay bolt inside the swingarm. Funny how something simple like putting a wheel on can turn in to a lot of work I didn't plan to do.

Wow, I totally neglected to update this.

I was planning on using the stock sideplates and welding the sissybar to those, but the curve of the sideplates didn't match the curve of the fender well and my OCD couldn't take it. I couldn't find any others that I liked, so I decided to make my own. I had never used CAD before, so I binged a bunch of YouTube videos and downloaded a CAD program. I designed my own and had my design laser cut.

I'm missing a bunch of pictures. Would be a lot cooler if I had them. But anyway, I rewired the bike, getting rid of anything non-essential. No horn, no turn signals, no speedo, no safety sensor BS, nada. Only what it absolutely needs to run.

Someone on the RoadStar Clinic used a coil mount for a Harley to relocate the coils. I stole his idea (with his approval) and made a bracket to attach it to the motor mount. The bracket also includes a place for the choke knob. I painted it and the coils. Painted a bunch of other stuff as well that isn't pictured.

I wanted something different for a taillight. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I made one out of a sheet of 16 gauge steel, then put in some round LED lights.

I will eventually get around to making a king and queen seat. Once that is done I can finish the sissy bar. Then I will finally be able to powdercoat the sissy bar and taillight.
