    Default ‘78 transmission with a ‘49 engine

I’m looking to make an engine swap on my chop later this year and wanted to know if I need to modify my shovel trans to work with a Pan engine.

Do I need a new clutch hub and main shaft?

I am currently running a 1 1/2” belt drive and would like to keep this setup.

That could be an easy swap ...

A few Company's made offset front pulleys for the 54 and back 1" tapper motor shaft...
That way no new Trans mainshaft would be needed and Hacking off the primary ears on the Trans case...

    INSERT, TAPERED (3/8") OFFSET
