Hoerseshoe tank + Hardlines + swingarm frame

So as you can see, the inner hardline is hitting the head. No way to get the line nut started.

Any ideas ?

That line should have a bend (over 90 degrees) like the other one. Could you swap positions of those two lines, making use of what you have?

What your going to need to do is bend the lines to fit.................

I have the complete kit with the "proper" lines. The 90 degree in pic is for reference only.
The lines where a budget friendly kit but have double flare so I thought they would be better, HAHA.

I have looked a a bunch of pics and seen quite a few who have rigged the inner line.
Original tank had hardlines and the inner was a leaking mess. Someone had crammed it on there making an oval out of the bell end. Then again, the tank was a mess so it got tossed.

I have tried to bend the new inner and have gotten some offset but not enough. Any more and the pipe will collapse.

Bending tube by hand will kink it. Try a tube bender.

The other pipe with the "proper" bend hits in the same exact area.

I have a cheap bender. The radius is the exact same as proper pipe. The flared end barely fits the stationary hold.
What I can gather by fiddling around is there is not enough pipe sticking out from radius to cut some off and re-flare. The flaring tool holder has just enough room to clamp the pipe and do its thing.

Do you have the proper Harley flaring tool?????? It isn't a standard flair it will leak........

I'm not sure that would be a good idea since you could get slag inside the lines...... Why not step up and buy quality lines that fit to start with?????

I’d do it close enough to the fitting to get a burr in there. Hell you could purge it, be as pretty on the inside as out. Or buy good lines, but you never know what’s gonna show up in the mail, and waiting sucks.
