Looking to modify an old car (wanna do some redneck shit) ISO a little guidance
Got a 76 Chevelle and wanna jack the fucker up on some big ass muddier tires. Really don't know shit about doing any of this. Would I be better off finding a donor vehicle for the suspension or frame or whatever?

Usually the guys that do what you want to do put the body on a frame of an old K5 Blazer, or something similar, and then add a lift so they can stuff 35" tires on it. I have seen people do this with old camaro's, or else Camino's I think your Chevelle would be pretty cool.

Saw a lot of this type shit back in North Dakota. Measure your wheelbase and find a 4X4 donor vehicle with a good frame with the same wheelbase/ width and attach your Chevelle body onto the donor frame/ driveline.

Much info lives on 4x4 forums. Pirate 4x4 blows away everything else. https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/
Got a welder, torch, and plenty of automotive tools? Have at it. Don't have a welder, torch, and plenty of automotive tools? Get those first because tools make toys but toys don't make tools.

Sorry, no photos. But a buddy of mine took the body of a '72 Ford Pinto and threw it on a Ford Bronco back in the 80's.
