Shovelhead Clutch problem!!
Running a 1.5” BDL. Put the rear pulley on, put the clutch plates in, put the releasing disc on, springs, then pressure plate and tighten it down to what the manual says. When I go to pull the clutch in....brick wall. Nothing moves. Springs don’t compress, releasing disc doesn’t move or anything. Any one ever had this problem??!
Thanks in advance!

Yeah from what I looked up I do. I didn’t know there were any other ones. I’ll get some photos posted in a few minutes. Any ideas on what to do to get it going?

Pushrod is in it...
As long as you got that peeled open, ya might want to do a up-grade to that bearing..
VT No: 18-0261
Clutch pushrod bearing kit includes 24mm bearing and bushing.
Bigger is better ....Last edited by Dragstews; 09-26-2018 at 8:26 PM.

Dragstews I’ll order one. I’m just lost and not sure what to do to make it push out like it’s supposed to.

Yep, had it pulled out earlier. And when I have all the clutch parts on and I am screwing in the adjuster screw I can watch it push the push rod out on the kicker side. So I know it’s contacting it... just no movement when trying to engage the clutch.

Nope, but it will move when tightening the adjuster screw.... but when I button everything up, and go to move it nothing. I was also looking at the springs when I had it tightened to what the manual says and it looks like the springs are almost bottomed out and has no room for conpressing anymore so I wonder if they are the wrong ones and get too tight and bottom out

That’s what I’ve been kinda thinking might be the issue. I’ll get the parts numbers and order another set and see how that goes!
