I had been on a mix of Paxil and Klonopin for around 10 years. I slowly began to taper my meds. The withdrawal symptoms were unbearable. I tried tapering, quitting cold turkey, long tapers, slow taper and every time ended up back on the Klonopin because the damn withdrawals (vomiting, hallucinations, severe tremors, anxiety, bloating etc) were too intense and relief could be found in a pill.
Well, anyway, I am in the middle of yet another taper and I thought I would give CDB a try. I get on the bike cruise over to the CBD shop here in Kansas City. I go inside tell the guy whats up with the benzo thing and he gives me a sample. Mind you, i was actively having a panic attack and threw up outside the shop before going in. Anyway, I tell him if it works i will be back for a bottle. Get back on the bike and started down the road. !0 mins later it was like a cloud had been pulled away folks. My anxiety attack, the nausea, the sweating, the tremors....all gone immediately. When i got home I was able to relax without fidgeting with my phone manically. I ate dinner and had the best sleep i have had in YEARS. I woke up and went to work...focused.

So today i go buy a bottle and dose myself. A few min later the same effects but more intense and euphoric. Just a general sense of well being.

Look I love weed as much as the next guy. I love booze. BUT, if this shit actually keeps doing what it is currently doing then I will walk away from all that shit and just use this.

Had to stick this somewhere for info if someone else wants to get off SSRI meds and anxiety meds. If you dont have CBD shops local..hit up amazon. It has been a life changer...in just a day. Fucking unreal.

I am convinced (no proof, just my theory) that a big part of the reason that marijuana and the like (including CBD oil) are still on the schedule one list is in no small part due to the pharmaceutical companies that want to keep as many people on opiates as long as possible. Glad to hear you are doing well with this.

The history of alcohol Prohibition STRONGLY suggests otherwise. Unregulated booze was everywhere with anyone who could make it trying to turn a dollar. Interestingly, the same batch of Bible Thumpers were behind both alcohol and cannabis prohibition. Assuming cannabis use to be additive to alcohol use rather than replacing it is questionable i.e. (drunk drivers + stoned drivers + pilled drivers) = total fried drivers as opposed to (drunk drivers - some number of stoned drivers + some number of stoned drivers) + (pilled drivers + some number of stoned drivers - some number of stoned drivers) = total fried drivers.

When a product is illegal that just moves it out of reach of regulation. That's why I could buy all the recreational chemicals I might want in ninth grade more than forty years ago. I'd get carded at a liquor store....

No anti-cannabis law is based on science, and certainly not making it a Schedule 1 controlled substance which is more severe regulation than meth or crack. BTW Cannabis was also attacked by William Randolph Hearst who had large investments in wood paper production which hemp threatened to undercut. Because "marihuana" could be demonized to the typical illiterate idiot yokel fuckstick of the era Hearst could campaign against the devil's lettuce knowing any laws would, and did, smash the domestic hemp market.

We'll need effective impairment tests (vs. useless blood tests) to more precisely know effects on traffic accidents, but no American who actually wanted weed has not been able to get it easily for longer than most folks reading this have been breathing. Besides that, who wants to travel instead of chill when they are baked? Unlike booze whose spectacular record of violent and generally stupid user behavior is world renowned, it's difficult to find much negative social behavior linked to the cannabis plant humans have used heavily for several thousand years.

BTW medical CBD is a separate issue from marijuana as CBD is not psychoactive.

Cannabis edibles help greatly reduce my opiate pain reliever intake from what it would otherwise be. Nothing else but those two have ever worked without nasty side effects, and since my spine and neck are irreversibly fucked I'll be on pain meds until I die because without them sleep is near impossible. Weed is why I won't become a junkie (I've been on oxymorphone for several years without needing or wanting a dosage increase) and why I can sometimes get a decent night's rest. I do edibles at night before bed. No one will ever be risked by my driving impaired. Pain meds and weed at night are why I can function in daytime unimpaired by exhaustion which can often be deadly on the road.

Farmalls comments about drivers reminded me of the joke that the difference between someone driving drunk and driving stoned. The drunk driver will drive right through a stop sign, the stoned driver will sit and wait for it to turn green.

I get why folks want legal weed. Hell I love weed. I just cant smoke it anymore really without anxiety. CBD has been, so far, an incredible thing for me to cope with anxiety, depression and insomnia.
Whenever i smoked, personally, i never felt like it was medicine. I just wanted to get high. BUT, that is my personal experience.

CBD, with no THC content has been amazing. Clear heading and mellow. Its pretty damn amazing.

CBD with no THC content is legal for Sale in KCMO. Medical Marijuana still isnt legal but they did decriminalize possion to something like a 25 dollar fine for a first offense. Something like that...

I believe - not that it matters - that there should have been a Constitutional amendment saying a person can ingest any substance one wants in America. Think what a difference that would make.

my wife is taking the oil now and her back and leg feels much better. I have so many ailments mostly pain related i'd love to try the cbd oil but I just had a random pee test at work and afraid it might screw with those results.

I wouldn't worry about that. Most tinctures and oils have around .2 -.3% THC which is negligible. My dad takes it for his arthritis and is a dredge operator and gets tested regularly. Never failed a test. I have noticed that my arthritic as fuck hands, which usually get sore and stiff while riding, now feel fine even after a long ride.
