    Default Chain conversion what gear ratio??

    I have a 88 883 sporty with a 1200 kit mild camps single fire ignition an Barnett Kevlar clutch plates my issue is prior to me obtaining this motorcycle my uncle had converted it to belt drive, well we all know how well belts work with a hopped motor needless to say I want to go back to the past with chain drive my question though is I donít know
    much about gear ratios as far as what will get me out of the hole faster what would help me obtain higher top speed I am clueless any input would help, thanks fellaís!!!!

    It depends on how you like the ratio you have now with the belt drive. If it's good, just divide your trans. pulley teeth into
    your rear pulley teeth, and see which chain sprockets you can get to most closely match that ratio. Otherwise adjust the gearing to either pull harder off the line or to get better top end/highway rpms.

    The issue I’m facing now is that on the highway at 70 im pushing 5k an that’s with a four speed
