Nice corn binder Dragstews. I have a '41. Still original frame with M II front and typical 350 chevy/350 turbo. I left it the original patina cause its trendy right now.

This is it the way I rode it until 2005 or so when it broke a piston. Then it became the Indian under my table. Suppose that little blower had anything to do with the piston failure?

Ole Hateful says she wants it restored as a military 741, Wonder how many more years I can keep ignoring her?

I still need to find the stash of car pictures. That is if a certain ex-girlfriend didn't take them as a parting gift.

Here's one of mine circa '83 maybe? I was living in Brighton Mass. I think it was a '78 Sporty

Let's see now Goodyear polyglass tires ....hmmmm... I'm saying that , by the height of the tire and era , that's a G-70-14 on there. Just don't think the sidewall is short enough for G-60-14. Could get fooled and they are 15's , but 14's were more common.

Doombuggy - I meant what year was the "Sportster pic" taken?

47str8leg - That was my buddy's '58 Ford delivery truck so I'm not sure on the tire size but I think you're right, 14".

Davestune - Lance from Allston? Nope.
Father's sounds familiar. Bow and Arrow? No. We used to hang around Bunratty's in Allston, The Rat for a show maybe, but mostly the Speakeasy (blues bar) in Central Sq. Cambridge.
I seem to recall a chrome Triumph but maybe at Laconia bike week.

So I know this is a zombie thread, but I ran into a stash of old pics, biker and army days and if folks want I will post them up. But I really wanted to post this one up as it shows just how early on the chopper craze hit me. I just have the ratty ass old 120 negative, not even the whole roll. I think this would have been around 1965, maybe 1966, the pants are a dead give away.

Well, since the chopper craze didn’t really start until the later 60’s I would question your time frame. Those pants were good up through the very early 70’s as I have a picture of my younger sister wearing them as well as myself and my older brothers in that time frame. My older brother Dave (b.1960) also did the same thing with his ‘67 Schwinn StingRay front forks around the time of the Easyrider Chopper craze ( my dad broke the bank that year and bought all 4 of us boys Schwinn bikes that Christmas . Me, being the youngest got a tricycle and a horse head on a stick to run around the house with lol ! ) .
                                Just an observation.

Edit- I originally thought they were vertically striped pants.
