    Looks Nipponese to me.
    Perhaps a chinese scooter?
Maybe he needs to collect some more parts before he has a whole motorcycle?

Yer gonna need some kind of ignition trigger/points... Alternator, starter and battery too. Couple of switches, maybe. A breaker/fuse(s).
I see no mention of lights either.
Bare minimum gets complicated fast, dont it?

    What year?
Find a stock schematic/diagram and trace out the systems you want to keep.
Like the charging system, the ignition system, starter system, and the lights.

I was thinking of using a hidden switch for the ignition and then im going to use the stock start button,I have a starter and battery just not sure of what I'm doing wrong.

Yep, just need to take it to roadworthy and all that crap.

I was using the following schematic for the basic starting of the bike, not planning on worrying about the lights and guages and all the unnecessary crap right now.

That's a great diagram and a perfect place to start for your bike.... Good luck...
