Can a 6' 250lbs guy really look "right" on a triumph?
I'm really wanting to build something different then a Harley and triumps are in my price range. but as stated in title I'm a big guy and don't want to be some fat guy on a little scooter bike. thoughts? pics? lol thanks

I'm 6 foot and I've owned lots of Triumphs...............don't think it's the 6 foot part that looks so bad on a Triumph.
my advice.....stop eating and build a Triumph.Last edited by Torch; 10-18-2016 at 9:30 PM.

My old man is some 250 pounds, he refuses to sit on my triumph. Says frame will break.
Sticks to 400kg harleys and maybe thats a good idea.

How about considering this: Ride because you enjoy it. Who gives a shit what you look like.

I am 6 foot and 230-240 and I have always preferred nimble bikes , road sportsters for decades , always had people telling me I need to move up to a big twin but most fat boys or heritages I have tried felt like a barge . Ride what makes you happy.

If you're building from the ground up you can fabricate/buy the frame with a bit of extra stretch in it maybe?? Make it physically longer??

Can't say about the older Triumphs, but I just got rid of a 2006 Thruxton that was in need of work after I put just over 100k hard miles on it. I am pretty much the same build as you (6'01" and 250 lbs.) Those who know me, know I ride hard, and ride whatever. Not that I give a rat's ass about what anyone thinks, but the only comment that I ever got was from a co-worker who told me I looked like Slim Pickens at the end of Dr. Strangelove (when he rode the bomb out of the plane.) Again, ride what you want and make it your own.

Depends on how you build it. Me, I'm 260 and 6'4" and am told I look great on my old BSA chopper. But she's 4' longer and has a 10" fork extension. Put a wide seat but glued a 'mexican' style fabric stripe on it to slim it (haha). Works though... won a 1st and a 2nd on the two shows she was entered in.
That's some really big young fella I let sit on her a while back.

Think of it this way....at some point you're gonna look like a fat-fuck even on a Harley.
stop eating.
My grocery bill went down when I stopped eating shit. I can eat ribeye steak for less money and I do. Americans are trained to eat sugar and refined starches. but not eating shit is liberating.
That said IDGAF how I look on my bikes. I eat well for me.

6'2" 260. My daily rider is a 2010 Bonneville and my favorite bike I own is a 1971 Bonneville. Don't give a damn what you look like. Just ride what makes you happy buddy.
