Picture time! Nowhere near complete, just a mock up of stuff to give myself the warm and fuzzies. I did not give myself much room to work as you may well notice but were getting there.

    Oye folks,

Anyone who uses a stock air box cb550-1000, there is a "spring" in the air box to hold the filter in place. I do not have one... nor can I find one online that isn't stupid expensive. Anyone redneck engineer something to replace that thing?

Just got one of these myself. I'll be watching your build, and may even bug you about some things as I go through mine. So far I'm digging yours.

Problem solved problem staying solved. EOD leads the way. Grabbed a piece of 9 inch18GA Stainless scrap from work and rolled it to a radius of 50. A bit over the formed but it'll flatten out fine leaving enough spring to seat the filter in the element. Just in case this is an issue for anyone else. Not elegant but it works.

Must see bike! You got a thread or pics up anywhere?

Also, anyone know of any bolt on side stand that can support 600+ lbs? The pipes are in the way and I'm trying to figure out how to relocate this damn things since my pipes, as awesome as they are, are in my goddamn way.

God damn lurkers! Fucking post replies for fucks sake. A.) I can't be the only bug eyed dick shiter that is having this kind of issue. B.) Post anything, why look at a thread not to say something, anything is better than seeing 800+ views to a question I posed forever ago. C.) I'm bitching about people on the internet because it's my anniversary and somehow I'm in trouble and not touching the bike at the same time. So think about that!

Dude, take a xanax or six haha. You probably won't find a bolt-on kickstand that will support the weight of that beast. You can try a dirtbike kickstand that clamps to the swingarm but it will probably need shortened and it might not be strong enough. Best bet is to buy a weld-on and relocate it. If you don't weld just prep the area where you want to put it and take it to a muffler shop to have them weld it.
