Here's the way I see things- If I own a bar, and if people come into my bar and start talking shit about my bar, or how I run my bar, I'd tell them to get the fuck out. And if they gave me any more shit, I'd introduce their heads to the door on their way out.

No one is forced to be here. I don't see the point in people hanging around if they don't like how this place is run, or who is sponsoring it, or anything else about it. After all, it's not like they payed to buy this place, or contribute any money to keep it running. Don't like it here- get the fuck out. Spend your own money and buy or create your own forum, then you can run it any way you like. Good luck with that.

But I don't think talking shit about Showclass is what got anyone banned.
Showclass has been fuckmouthed on here for months without any fallout to the users here.
All this reminds me of the music scene in the early 90's.
Suddenly a small interesting group of fringey motherfuckers got all popular. Fanzines all faded away (I mean how many of you selvedge wearing latte sipping motherfuckers ever even read a fanzine, or responded to an add in one to get a mix tape?) and Tiger Beat suddenly had bands on the covers.
Success breeds conformity. and dilutes the original message. 33 was successful. It was cool, local shows were cool, and they kinda blow now. It will all be in cycles. How soon before your favorite event turns into a mini sturgis?
I think blaming the people who run this site because the "scene" is diluted with a bunch of poseurs who need a constant reminder of where to buy cool shit is a bit short sighted.
