so i get a call from a guy i knew slightly years ago and he asks me if i can come over and help him put the carb back on his evo. sure, no problem. so i get over there and it's under a carport at his mothers house and there's shit everywhere under plastic etc. to keep the weather off it. "shed fell in so i had to put everything outside while i rebuild it" he says. ok, so i get his carb back on, he goes to find the battery to put back in it and i sit down on a retaining wall to rest a little. so i'm lookin at all these piles of junk with the plastic over them and something catches my eye. a frame neck is sticking out the top of one of these piles. i go over, pull back the plastic and i'm looking at three fucking rigid pan frames. a 57 straitleg that was raked and trimmed, a wishbone that was raked and trimmed and a perfect unmolested wishbone with a neck lock......fuck me.........

i just hope i can pry them away from the guy. he's got a bad case of "i'm gonna build that someday". i'm trying to get him to admit to himself that he's 68 yrs old, in bad health and he hasn't built them yet so maybe it's time to pass them on. we'll see.

yeah, the guy has issues for sure. i can't crowd him on this stuff but it sure would be sweet to get them. i heard from somebody else that knows him that he might actually have some motors and other stuff too.
