Default LeDom's Vstar 1100 bobber build

Hi all, new guy here, I just wanted to share my build with you.
This is my first cruiser I had a Gsxr1000 before.
    Originally started with a V star 1100 1999 bought in november 2014.

Took it at my dad's garage to rip it apart and then put everything in my car to bring it at my house.

I cleaned everything up and since I dont have a garage I started rebuilding it in my living room

    [hr]
First step is custom exhausts. I used the stock headers and welded tubes at the end of them

    Then primed/painted them

And ended up wrapping em with titanium headers wrap

At the same time I painted the calipers black
    [hr]
Next step was cleaning up the carbs and while i was in the cleaning I decided to take them apart and paint them too

This looks way better to me

    [hr]
Then was time to rebuild those old wheels

    First of all the disassembly

Took the time to polish every single spoke and nipple

I ordered new tires and got the wheels to a bodyshop for a durable black paint

Got the tires mounted a few weeks later and the end result is gorgeous. (No picture with the rubbers on)

    [hr]
Next I prepared the engine for the ceramic coating

Once painted, ready to go back in the hole

    [hr]
Time for the rear fender. Finding the right one have been the longest part of the build. I ended up ordering a custom one at Ledsledcustoms. The contour model to be specific
    Here is an example

Recieved it and got it on the swing arm to fit it just right

I made some customs brackets and welded nuts inside the fender so I could bolt right into it

    [hr]

    [hr]
Then it was time to put it all back together

    Did the wiring...

    Installed the exhausts

    And the turn signals

Got on the seat case. I made a cardboard stencil and cut my steel plate

I trimmed a vulcan 800 front fender to make it more "bobber" and I plan on using the stock star under fender rail but I think ill cut it because i find the fender is a bit too high

Here I am on my way to Laconia 2015. We had a blast.

    Tracker Handlebar

I then switched to 12" apes.

Wire in the handlebar - Done

Also resprayed the headlight cover since the cables were rubbing on it

Next, I will start the passenger seat project. I'm thinking about doing something like a HD rocker C passenger seat.

What kind of paint did you use to paint the engine?

Good job, I respect people working their bikes in their apartment when there is no garage. That's the devotion.
