Default anyone roll their own cigars?

Im thinking about making my own, ive been smoking for a while, and want to give it a try. I plan to start with leaves that i buy elsewhere (so far found 1 source... any help on that would be great) and go from there. in a few years ill be moving and can grow my own.

I think growing your own would get tiresome very quickly; you'd need filler, binder, and wrapper leaf and a way to properly age it all. That being said - it might be interesting to blend and roll a couple of custom boxes if you could order the leaf from someone else.

I've never rolled a cigar myself, but I expect it's one of those things that is harder than it looks. Good luck!

I've rolled lot's of blunt's & spliff's, However, weed and tobacco are totally different mediums. I like smoking cigars, but, I'm cheap, and lazy, I just smoke "Backwood's" (Wild & Mild)
You may find these links to be useful.

    Best of luck !

*Rolling a cigar is not like rolling a blunt, a good hand rolled cigar will have a "barber stripe" at the seam,(like a spliff, or cone) not a straight seam as with a blunt. It's okay to have one end smaller and one end larger, in diameter (again, more like a spliff or cone vs. like a blunt).

Hmm. I'm an avid cigar smoker.
Never thought to roll my own.
I know that local cigar shops sometimes have a house cigar, some of the really old school ones even roll them in house.
That might be a good place to get some advice.

Interesting.. I also enjoy a cigar from time to time and had never considered rolling my own.
I used to be pretty good at rolling a J, so why not?

Except, I checked out the links above, and not surprisingly, quality whole leaf isn't cheap.
I think I'll stick to buying mine professionally rolled.
I like an even burn from a cigar that doesn't look like I rolled it using my elbows.

Oh.. and blunts a good way to fuck up some perfectly good weed.

Haha I clicked this thread and forgot that I had made it forever ago with my old account ROFL

Never did roll my own BUT. I just worked out with my neighbor that if I haven't moved as of next year like I am hoping I am going to grow some pipe tobacco out in his field. Got about 4 different types to blend. Hopefully ill have some land with my next house to grow it on my own land.
