I'm not going to get into whether Nate deserved money because he had cancer. It has everything to do with this other douche soliciting money in Nate's name, taking advantage of people's goodwill, and then using the money for himself for some toys and a vacation. He figured the guy with cancer "could do without it" (that is his own words - see below). I went through cancer two years ago, and it was incredibly stressful for me and my family. I can't imagine the mindset of someone who would do this, and then try to justify himself.

I'm active duty military. We do a lot of various kinds of benefits for guys injured or killed in Afghanistan, and their families. If someone pulled a stunt like this after raising money for one of those, he would have to pray that the cops would get him for fraud before members of the guy's unit caught up with him. I can't believe that the Death Science crew haven't stepped up to their "old school hardcore" image and put this right. But I guess if you needed proof that the chopper scene has been taken over by mustachioed trucker-hat wearing hipsters that put more stock in how much internet time you are getting than whether you are a stand-up guy, this is it.

karma has a funny way of doing a person in the end I am getting a little older now and see the people die who have down rite screwed their sons wife's , people around them the last was one guy who.s brother died he found a life insurance policy that was to go to the brothers son instead he paid off his home and bought a truck the events after that is as follows,,,, his wife left him came back with terminal cancer while she was gone she racked up owing 160,000 dollars to irs she died .I am sorry for that I liked her but his bill they were married ,,so he worked him self to death tying to pay irs off the irs put a lien on the house he paid off with the insurance money , his sister totaled out the truck he bought with the insurance with the kids money he had a heat attach and had to were a vest that would shock his heart but it did not work he died of one big heart attach after another the emt driver could not find the house ,, all his systems shut down one by one his son said most pain full thing he ever saw KARMA,,,,

When I went on unemployment after a contract job expired I kept my ears open and talked with everyone I could in line at the unemployment office. Let's say it was "educational". I broke no laws but I didn't take employment from someone who needed it more than I. We all serve Wall Street willingly or otherwise. Its lords don't take their obligations to us seriously so I return the favor. Get comfortable that most of what you were taught was a lie then use what you learned instead.

When nasty shit happens to people we dislike, it's "hurr, durr, karma". When some innocent kid gets assraped and decapitated we don't typically invoke the (IMO comforting lie, just like religion) of karma.

We usually have the choice to avoid toxic people be they "dusty" or others. Every social scene has these. Avoid the people or toxic parts of scene. Like a stuck turd, they pass sooner or later. When I was a lad there was no "scene", we just rode motorcycles and scenes were on the coasts. As years go by groups form and disperse. You have your real bros, associates, acquaintances and all of those change over enough time. Early mentors and bros age and die. Peerbros do that too but get other life agendas which may not include riding.

New people inherit surviving scenes. New people make new scenes, especially around good independent motorcycle shops. Changing economics killed off a lot of those but there is always room for QUALITY multi-brand shops run efficiently. It's a bitch for shop owners to work the social angle (much akin to old country stores) and spin wrenches for profit but it works well if you can pull it off because you keep a
trusting customer base. That's why HD tries synthetic replication of ancient social experience but tweaked to sell high markup items.
