Default Getting Closer! Need some help/advice with wheels

I have '06 mags on my '80 ironhead hard tail.

I need some spacers for the rear, I'm concerned about where to measure from and if my axle adjuster will work in it's current configuration.

My thoughts are to simply measure from the edge of the axle plate to the inner wheel bearing and get a single spacer cut to that length. I'm a little concerned at how the axle adjuster would interact with that spacer since it would basically be pinching the spacer on the axle and causing friction.

I'd like to know if I'm headed in the right direction with the measurements and get some advice on adjusters.

    Thanks guys!!

Yes it will put pressure on the spacer---but---the axle and the spacer do not turn.
