i havent put many miles on it yet, i gotta get the generator rebuilt. and i also need to take a british choke adjuster and make the timer be able to move from start to running position. because i cant seam to be able to leave it in one place like my other 45 did. but it does run rather well now when the timing is adjusted for the speed position. the front cylinder seems to run a little hot, but i think thats because one of the valves leaks just a tad.(i put used valves in because i couldnt find the keepers for the new ones) so once i get the charging system finished up ill be able to get a little more feedback. as far as the sprocket bearing goes, i think that will have to take a few years of riding before i know if that is good or not. i just put the frame back to stock, as this model doesnt need a modified frame as much as a JD ect would

oh also i thought i put this here but it must have been facebook. i ended up having to run a 6 volt battery because with the generator and cutout relay setup, it wont charge the capacitor fast enough at idle.

Yeah I really needed the spark control on my RL. Some advance will help cool it down too. Damn I miss that bike.

lots has changed since i last posted i got a 12 volt sporty generator on it, i couldnt seem to get it to put out enough juice to give good spark at points(no idea what thats about) runs like shit without a battery so i ordered a small battery to sit between the gas tanks. i got the timing where i want to keep it now. i laced another 18" for the back, and i speed holed the rear fender brace.

i love it when somebody builds a new machine out of junk and cast off parts. anybody can take a complete bike and put lipstick on it, it takes a builder to create something from nothing

thanks! glad yall like it. i forgot to mention before i found out why the front cylinder was running hot. the head was repaired a long time ago but it had a pinhole in it still and it also started cracking again(the cast iron on these heads is garbage and pretty much wont ever hold a repair) i got a new head and it seems to run better.



also im on the list for the mama tried race as a backup so i may or may not be racing it.

thanks! yeah the colors are stock 32 colors, with 35 paint scheme, but i added a little flare by making the blue cover the whole front of the tank. i actually have a front fender i wanna use but i gotta do some work on it first. gonna put the lights back on it soon too.
