Default 73 ironhead, stuck crankshaft gear

I've been working on splitting the cases on my 73 xlch. I'm having trouble prying off the crankshaft gear on the right side of the motor. I've tried heating it up and prying it out, using a crowbar and I tried using a gear puller but there is not enough space to fit the puller behind the gear. Does anyone have any GOOD ideas??? Thanks

i had to use a thin 2 arm not 3 gear puller to get in there and it was a tight fit but once it was a little loose it popped right off.
I was not too worried about the pinion shaft cause i was going to jim's when I had Dragstews rebuild and balance the bottom end for me

If you are going to destroy or dispose of the pinion shaft anyway you could drill it down the center if the incorrect pullers don't work.

I just use the proper puller.
