Ha ha nice! My home state, I hope it serves everyone well for this event, I've been all through the area many times, lots of cool stuff, acres and acres of national park to ride through, it connects into the Appalachian Trail, free camp grounds tourist traps like gem stone mining, mystery hill etc. as well as the Blue Ridge Pkwy too. I'll probably be living in Florida when this rolls around, but my calendar is marked.

Yeah Ima try and make it there for sure, my Toyota MH should be modded up by then as well as the scoot ima hitch mount on it... if not I'll just ride up from Florida if I'm down there, on the Butter Glider if I still have it, if not then the lil CM I'm still bouncing build plans on.

Oh, btw fellas bring something to insulate you very very well from the ground, even in July and August the mountain ground can fucking freeze you to the bone getting the teeth chattering like a skeleton, and since this is slated for early May... plan for the ground temp to feel like sleeping directly on a sheet of ice if you don't take my advice.

Tours? haha I will say a reserve fuel cell is almost a requirement with a 2 gallon or less tank, on a GPS there when it works... the signal is blocked most of the time by the mountains, it will say something like 3 miles to where you wanna go, but by the time you've wrapped all around the kick backs etc, you've gone 15 miles... but bear in mind if you run out on the way up, you can turn it around and coast it all the way back down and if lucky, hit a station which are few and far between btw. I hit fumes many times and ran out once, before I learned to just ride the clutch on down hills feathering brakes to save gas, I saw a few dudes pushing up hill last year after being out of gas and all I could do was shake my head... no stations up top just in the valleys.

I'll keep the hikes below 10 miles long haha Might have to figure out how to bring one of the MTBs though. Love riding around there.

I finally finally finally get the chance to say it; "I wish this was closer to where I lived!!!"

                      (and I'm serious...)

Exactly how I felt all summer... I was going to sneak up on you guys at Born Free, but I blew a coil the day before I planned to leave... bags packed, money all set aside and itinerary planned, it came in the mail the first day of. I was also gonna try and make Hazard County II, but ended up spending that time breaking up with the GF and getting the hell out of S.C.. The way my luck has been running with events, something is gonna try and interfere with this one... I just know it.
