Picked up this seat in the classifieds. Trying to decide if I should try to bend it and use it or just build on the seat pan I made. Started the sissy bar, no its not finished.

Little more fucking with this thing. Put the kick stand on, finished the sissy bar and mounts. I think I'm gonna have to build my own seat the K&Q was just too bulky for this build.

I had already made the pan but bought one off the classifieds just to see if it'd work. I'm not too worried about making one it's mainly finding someone to sew it up so it doesn't look like the normal hack shit you see running around.

    hey... fuckers

I finally uncovered this pile of shit again. We'll see what happens this time.

(I also went through and tried to replace a bunch of broken links with pictures that I thought were originally there.)

Wow! Reading through this thread brought me back... Hard to believe its been over three years since we picked this hog up(and it still hasn't fired...). I remember trying very hard as a "Honda Tech" to tell this guy about the lemon he had.

The frame is done. If I don't receive any guidance in the near future Ill take creative control and finish it. Because its taking up precious space where my busted ass Miata needs to be torn apart in.

Im the little brother. First ass kicking I ever remember getting was for taking apart a perfectly good lawnmower.

    Watch this time lapse...

If you can find some 1/4 inch neoprene glue that on over the core pad to smooth everything out. 3M77 spray works nice if you set it wet you can reposition things till you get right. If the shapes not too complex you work a single piece of vinyl over it and not need to sew anything.

This picture doesnt show any of it but the front half is wired, fuel lines done, oil lines done, tank cleaned / sealed, has a battery and the frame is all tig welded. After about 3 years of getting messed with or collecting dust, its getting closer...

this is badass. I think I heard a little separation in the firing, maybe the wind though. these things should sound like a hum. Dont be afraid to set the ignition timing by ear, shit gets worn and in my experience thats the best way. I put hex head screws in the timing plate to make it go faster adjusting it. Make sure the valves are set correctly, time it, and then since you have short pipes, you might try shimming the carbs. I found machine screw washers that fit in the recess in the carb body around the needle that worked perfect, and cheap.

And then, when you get that bitch dialed in, advance your timing ever so slightly. It will amaze your friends how easy they are to kick start. Mine kicks over first kick with only about a 1/4 kick. Pisses them off to no end.
