    Cutting up my FXDB

Cut off the fender struts and I'm mounting new fender to swingarm. Cut the coilover lugs off the swingarm and moved them down and forward to take some of the angle out of the coilovers (similiar to the older FL's) and to lower the rear a bit. Making new exhaust out of 304 SS starting with 1.75 and stepping to 1.875 and finnally to 2" with the tail section being removable with beehive spring retainers. Still have a bunch to do and the weather starting to get nice around here.

Lookin good man. Did you make those fender stays yourself? I'm lookin to make a pair myself to mount a fender to my swingarm. Any tips?

Thanks for the compliments, I made them out 3/8 stainless solid round with 7/16 stainless round for the end bungs. I bent them over an old 15" Chevy wheel that I welded a stop to cause I liked the radius. I plan on polishing them and using a brass wingnut on a stud but if you want to counter sink an allen headed bolt I would use 9/16 round for the end bungs. The stainless came from speedymetals.com which is a good source for small quanities. Good luck with yours

Nice Modder. Is that a brand new Street Bob? I thought a mild make over on one of these had a lot of potential, I'll be stoked to see what your turns out like.

Yeh, its an 09 that I got toward the end of last summer, I too saw potential like u said and plan to finish up what I've started this winter before the weather gets nice, then get into some more mods next winter. Thanks

BobbedOut - the jockey shift is dope. Did you make it or buy it somewhere?
