    Rockerbox Racing Build Thread

Hey guys - We're kinda new around here, although you may have seen some of our bikes on here. This is just a photodump of past and current builds, and I'll keep updating it as we get more work done!

I'll try and keep the shots organized by bike.

Bike 1: This was actually a rebuild of a bike put together the year before. Stripped to the frame, rebuilt motor, new carbs (Mikunis), PMA, new paint, new pegs, new jockey shift, skateboard wheel taillight.

Bike 2: This was pretty much a scratch build.
Elswick Hardtail (this is before we bought a bender to build our own), rebuilt motor, PMA + Pamco, Dell-Ortos, No paint (Raw + clearcoat), pegs, Jockey, 21 Heritage lace front, skateboard wheel taillight.

This last shot is a mockup of a narrow sporty tank, a vintage seat, and some bars we came up with:

Thanks for the kind words guys!

We just build the stuff we want to see on the scene, and if people dig it, so be it!

You can check us on instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr.

We try and update every few days with new pics of the projects we are working on.

We just knocked out a full set of pegs, brake lever, jockey shift, and bars that we shipped to a rad dude in Brunei. Pretty wild to ship stuff half way across the planet.

I sell the lights online, so I'm not really going to whip up a DIY on how I do it.

I open the wheel up on a lathe to fit the bulb assembly - they are pieces I have made and shipped to me in bulk so I don't have to cut up taillight bulbs. Some solder, wire, and adhesive.

There's a little bit of a kick-up there in the concrete, you can't see it from the lighting. Jumping a hardtail is a little rough. The new projects we are working on should jump a little better.

Gotcha. I just figured w a bike like that you were badass enough to bunny hop that thing like it was nothing

We practiced bunnyhopping my 1980 YZ50 in the driveway a few times. I can clear about 4" with the rear wheel on that. I don't think bunny hopping a hardtail will happen though. I'd have to spend a few years in the gym. It weighs a bit more than a BMX bike, or a Gas Gas.
