Lets see some dirt bike chops...

I've been building up my 1980 XL185, first bike, have no idea what I'm doing, teaching myself and learning along the way.... just wondering what other dirt bike builds we have...post 'em up

I grew up in the golden age of dirtbikes aka the '70's... It always makes me flinch a little when I see a perfectly good dirtbike all cut up like that.

Here's mine from a few years ago:

I just recently picked this up:

I will probably build a street tracker out of it over the winter. I may be going to pick up another one here in the next week or two.

                  dirt bike chops

I haven't seen many here yet. Starting a bobber build with a dirt bike/enduro seemed natural to me. They are light and simple to modify. I have seen a few others on the interweb.
Anyway here is my 1980 Honda xl250s bobber. I did a cheater hardtial job, lowered the forks, made an exhaust, interweb seat and springs and a bit of paint.

Merged into existing dirt bike chop thread, when the redirect expires tomorrow you'll be able to find it in the Lets see Bike Pics sticky near the bottom of the page.

Not exactly a dirt bike chop, but a conversion on my WR450F. This thing is a goddamn insane asylum!

                              In California it's a little more involved than that..especially if it's a 2smoker.
