BTW- don't use loft insulation fibreglass , the right stuff for silencers is easily (and Cheaply) obtained.

Had varying results with that kind of baffle. Noise limits have been an issue at British circuits for a long time. Brooklands Cans were the answer years ago.

The curse of all Eighties Harleys- frame paint. In 1998 I had to tear my 1988 Sportster 1200 down , the frame looked so bad. She's just passed her annual safety inspection , so no real mech. issues....

But you could eliminate the mousetrap??
