I don't think this is something particular to chop cult, your browser is tracked and mined for data wherever you go on the net... this shit is becoming the norm. You can get a plug in that requests websites to stop tracking headers.

It just means you went somewhere, they mined your browser and header info and will spam you at every web address you have with bot members. It's advertising companies that do this shit, very rarely any website owners themselves.

If bot members start becoming the norm; then CC may have to set up a captcha to verify its people making membership requests and not advertising bots. I don't remember one when I was joining... I think back in those days they approved memberships individually. If it's mass membership acceptance now... and not a captcha then we might get over run by spam bots.

This issue I suppose really should have been in the site rules and user tips section instead... so it can get looked into. All of that isn't my jam; so I know zip behind the scenes... but I try to help out with it anyway when I can.

I love playing along with that kind of stuff. Sign the email up for a bunch of porn sites and stuff like that, or send them a virus. Post the email to the guys over on 4chan, they love messing with people who send this stuff.
