The other night, for the second time before I figured out what happened, my rear wheel damn near locked up. Aaron was behind me and said my rotor was shooting off sparks. It was so hot he almost cooked food on it. My axle loosened up, wheel did a shimmy and forced the rotor into the pads. So when it got enough friction on, it nearly seized up. I got it straightened out enough to ride to the bar though. I wasn't sure how bad, if at all it messed up my rotor. Dave Norton showed up, licked on my beer can while I was in the men's room and told me to check it because it was probably warped. Sure enough. So bad you can kind of even see it in the picture. About 1/16" of concave on this piece. Granted it wasn't rusted like this until I left out in the rain...Bummed though - that was at least an $85 rotor. Steve was nice enough to let me pull one off his wall for the price of on the house, so all it cost me was time.
