Earl Flanders (AMA prez), Bob Leppan (rider), Alex Tremulis(stylist) and Jim Bruflodt (mechanic). Eventually this team would see a 264.437 top speed in the iconic Gyronaut. Bob Leppan is currently restoring the streamliner for a return to Bonneville next year marking the 50th anniversary of the Gyronaut's first runs down the salt. Alex Tremulis was a stylist at Ford like yours truly and created the concept for the bike. Powered by twin Triumph mills derived from Bob and Jim's ex-drag racer "Cannibal II". I watched a tornado Sunday afternoon from kind of close go kind of close to Columbus' house. I watched another one on TV come close to my parent's house. I watched the big one from a power out work cubicle(bunker) on streaming smartphone that came dang close to my house. My family is fine and my house is fine. The power is back on now. I gave blood today. I tired

Speedo said 147, satellites said 133.

Started to pour as I pulled in from the last sesh of the day.

I took yesterday off and headed to the west side of the mitten for some fun in the sun. I took me a while to get used to not being on a supermotard, but by the end of the day I found my lines and shaved a lot of time off of my laps.

Al Knapp passed away today at 90 years old. AL raced Harley-Davidson motorcycles for over 50 years. He was instrumental in the development of Harley racing bikes and in his senior years raced a WR on the AHRMA circuit. Al was a man a few words and was known to go very fast. We will miss you dearly Al. Thanks to WTTM for the picture and words.
