GMC Truck For Sale

JT Writes :: Rare 1955 GMC 100 Series ½ Ton Pickup (Second Series), 248 (6cyl), 3 sp manual (column shift), small window.Original motor and transmission. Recent engine tune-up using OEM parts- including plugs, wires, cap, points and oil filter. New radiator hose, thermostat housing gasket and valve cover gasket. Freshly rebuilt Holley carburetor. New chrome air cleaner and filter. Exhaust manifold was split in the '60s for dual glasspacks. No wiper motor.Body and inner cab were painted about 20 years ago. Body is pretty straight, although there is some rust coming through the lower doors and near inner rear window molding. Windshield and rear glass like new. The front bumpers could use re-chroming in some spots, but aren't too bad. The chrome rear bumper is in great shape. The tailgate is original, but has dent bowing due to past payloads bumping against it. It closes good and comes with new OEM tailgate chains. The bed had a piece of sheet metal tacked in to cover the old wood. The black vinyl bed cover is new, but needs new snaps installed (included with extra truck parts).Clutch works well and all drum break components have been rebuilt, including lines. Manual steering and all original suspension. 15", 6-lug, chrome American Racing wheels w/chrome "smoothie" caps. New "skinny white wall" radial tires.Interior is in good condition. The original seat and door covers were covered in aftermarket black vinyl at some point. No rips. New OEM, black carpet. Original steering wheel (horn works). Chrome glove box. After market gauge panel (Fuel & Amps), stereo and fan added. Both inner door handles need adjusting (passenger door can open from outside). Windows work fine, but passenger side wing window doesn't fit properly. Original foot starter. All lights work.I bought the truck from a retiree in 2000. I used it as my daily driver for about 2 years then stored it. It's a great old truck that I hate to see sit. . .and my wife hates seeing it in the driveway. Great candidate for a complete restoration or lower the suspension (comes with new lowering shackles for the rear) and you've got a cool old custom.Clear title. Jerry @ JaeTeeJr@aol.com

SPORTSTERS RUIN (post 8) The String Theory

Progress Report on the SPORTSTERS RUIN (Gasser Lounge / Lady Hump / Sailor Jerry ) Sportster Build; The Guru's been busy in our Beach Bungalow Garage. Our String theory is a physical theory that extends particle physics by replacing point particles by extended objects called strings. In string theory, the different types of observed elementary particles arise from the different quantum states of these strings... and that's how you line up the perfect Sissy Bar.

Turned the last wrenches on the ULH re-fit this morning.  Added gas and oil and the damn thing started on the first kick!  Terry and I followed that up with a 30 mile break-in ride up the see Greg and Gino at MCHD.  So happy this bike is back in the line-up...it runs SO good.  A big thanks to Lurch for the motor and Terry for the flywheels (and help with the trans plate) - you guys are my hero's.
