Chicken coop finds 1940 Knucklehead and a 1947 Knucklehead

I never thought the day would come when I would unearth not 1 but 2 old knuckleheads that have been sitting since the early 1960's.. It feels like a dream from the moment I got a call on the shop phone "Hi Jeremiah can you get my 1915 Indian running"? I responded I am sure I can I can make anything run, I would love to have the opportunity. "ok sounds good I also have 2 other bikes you may be interested in looking at a 1940 knucklehead and a 1947 Knucklehead.

I respond oh really whats the story on them? "They were my fathers and he had them a very long time" ok I ask can I come see them? "Of course here is the address" At this point I think someone is playing a big joke on me I jump in my old truck.

The rest is history I meet David and the story begins, my life changes I am now a proud owner of an old 1940 EL knucklehead that has sat for 50 years and has the coolest story which will come soon.

It gets even better I get to restore Davids untouched all 1947 Knucklehead that was his fathers. It hasn't been touched since 1962... I got her running after 50 years OLD HARLEYS never die. STAY TUNED more to come as well as some first time run videos!!

PEace Love and HAppines and old Harleys

New Bike Feature: Jesse Pafford's 75 FX Shovelhead Chopper

Article by Lisa M. Ballard / Photos by Chris McMorrow - I could have easily titled this feature The Apology as I need to apologize to ChopCult member Jesse Pafford publicly. You see, Jesse has patiently waited for his bike to be featured here since the beginning of October. Since then, I dealt with email hacking (a big F U to whoever is to blame) and lost over ten years of contacts and many work-in-process features, one being Jesse's. I have to commend Jesse for not putting me on blast for making him wait. His bike and the touching story deserve to be featured, and I am thrilled to showcase it today. Read more

Welcome Bell Helmets!

We want to welcome Bell Powersports back to the ChopCult Family!

Bell Helmets, one of the industry's most iconic brands and a leader in innovative head protection, today announced the all-new Eliminator, a homage to its pioneering automotive helmets paired modern industry-leading safety standards. An incredibly bold and assertive street performance helmet, Eliminator was designed to fit the needs of a wide range of riders, from V-twin to modern streetfighter enthusiasts. The helmet also includes Bell's all-new ProVision shield, which features proprietary dual pane anti-fog technology.

Eliminator is available in either composite or carbon fiber shells, and includes a unique ventilation design that adds style and functional advantages over its competition. The ProVision shield is ECE certified, vastly outperforming the standard mist-retardant test, and is designed for all ranges of uses from everyday commuting to extreme competition. The shield is also available in eight different tint options.

"Bell developed the first mass-produced auto racing helmet in 1954 and has a long history in the industry with a performance-first mindset, and we drew on that history to design a racing-inspired helmet for motorcycle riders," said Chris Sackett, Bell Helmets vice president. "We pride ourselves on developing purpose built helmets that not only protect the rider, but offer a number of other key features that riders desire. Eliminator has an aggressive attitude perfect for any rider looking to scorch the dragstrip, carve the canyons or own the streets."
The Eliminator's DNA lends itself to a storied history of burned rubber, dragstrip lights, checkered flags and white knuckles infused into a purpose-built street brawler. The newest addition to Bell's lineup is product of the company's continued innovation and combines light weight, perfect fit with Bell's legendary reputation for protection. The helmet, which comes in a variety of colorway options, will be available in December in select retailers and online at www.bellhelmets.com.
