Strange Days 3 is one of many small grass roots events we sponsored this year. They built Voodoo Child to be raffled off to one lucky soul who attended the event. Sean London was the lucky winner, here's his story

So basically the Voodoo Child is a 1972 Yamaha XS650 survivor chop.  The bike was purchased by Calvin Piorkowski of Retrofit from Steve at East Coast Machine.  Calvin pretty much rode it like he stole it until the gas tank formed a serious leak.  He couldn't swap tanks due to the mass amounts of bondo from the original 70's owner.  So the Voodoo Child got parked for some years until a year before Strange Days 3.  At that point the dudes from Retrofit did a complete rebuild on the bike with plans to give it away at the event.  They rebuilt the motor, scored a twisted springer for the front end, and built a shit ton of other parts of the bike.  If you didn't notice, the bike has a 4" stretch in the swing arm which was done in the 70's as well. 

Paint was done by Toon Town paint, chrome by Atlantic Coast Plating, and the build was completed by Retrofit.  From there, the bike was raffled off at the Strange Days 3 event!  Me, I'm just the lucky motherfucker who won.  I have no plans to change this bike at all.  I'm going to ride the piss out of it until it blows up and then I'm gonna do it all over again.

Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc: The struts were bent cold using a pipe threading machine. Gas cap modified as a wire cover for the taillight. Friscoed sporty tank. Seats recovered to match originals. Various handmade stainless parts. Left side cover was modified and extended to cover the chain. Battery and electrical are hidden under the cover below the velocity stacks. Too many other tricks to list.
