Project Report: Slim's Kawasaki 2-Stroke Triple

This isn't the first Slim Fab art bike we've featured on ChopCult, and as long as its builder has acetylene and sheet metal, it won't be the last. To save their creators from the wrath of eagle-eyed Cultists, we generally don't feature bikes that haven't been shaken down at least a mile or ten. We shelved that rule on this beast because it's a 2-stroke chopper, and few such animals ever run dependably, anyway. Caveats aside, Slim's creativity always deserves a second look.

We have one of those infamous Kawasaki triples..infamous in the day for being WAY faster than their brakes could handle..and it's got no front brake.

Let me suggest a bike name that would offend some, but which might amuse Dr. Slim.. How about "Death Wish," a good stablemate for "Dirt Lunch"

Which displacement triple is that? The 500 would be a beast. The 750 would be a demonic nightmare. Cool...

Commented on 4-25-2012 At 01:02 pm

Artist in metal..plus he's not desecrating any really rare valuable survivor bikes..
If this bike were a Velocette or a '57Sportster or something I might not like it so much.(or might, who knows?)

But I wouldn't want to see him get his hands on,say, a Rudge Ulster, or an Indian
Scout...Shinya Kimura, yes, Slim I think not..

Commented on 4-26-2012 At 04:02 am

Why would Slim pay thousands for an Indian Scout when he can build a cooler bike out of a seized dirt bike engine and an old bed frame.

Commented on 4-26-2012 At 07:14 am

Hey Thanks for the cool shots magoo..and the write up. Thank you for checking out my build it means a great deal as i dont get much time to build personal stuff much. Should be super fun it already looks alot different than these pics....been dying to ride her or maybe dying when I ride her,YES 750 fully modified internals,Only in a country where we can ride shit like this legally is where I wanna be,land of the free! SLIM PS ,I am Slim not Shinya, we are friends but have 100% different building styles, the only things we share is creativity, metal as a canvas, great respect for eachother!

This is one insane creation. Normally I think Slims creations are, well, creative, but this is off the charts cool. Can't wait to see it finished and really can't wait see hear it run!
