"Inside" is a ChopCult feature where we look into the shop or garage of a builder and bring you along for the ride. For this installment, we met Kim Boyle in Carlsbad, California, and took a peek at what's happening in the BCM garage.

You might know Kim from his BCM blog or maybe you've met him at a local SoCal ride or two. With a background as diverse as his, it's not a surprise to find a cone shovel, '61 panhead, a half-finished Norton, two SR500's, a YZ250 and one very cool airhead BMW in his modest two-car garage. The man can pack a lot of bikes into a garage, huh? Not all are his: most belong to friends and the occasional customer. Lately Kim's has become the place to be on Sundays for a casual hangout or to do a little maintenance on your machine (invite only.)

One workbench across the north wall is where most of the magic happens. When you see the details on Kim's creations you can imagine the amount of time spent on the trusty bench grinder, flap-disc, hand-held drill motor and file. The other bench is where Kim protects small parts and bits from the flying debris.

Every good garage needs a four-legged friend and a favorite liver lubricator. BCM's choice? A gentle old lab named Monroe and Rolling Rock from his Pennsylvania home

What are your plans for it? You selling it? Or just riding the shit out of it?
