The best part of social media is finding a fellow member like Andrew Clarke. I shared his video with his chihuahua Anna riding a skateboard and enjoying life. Her face was priceless, and the small helmet that adorned her head sparkled with pride. Anna’s no showdog, either, as she LOVES to hop in Andrew’s backpack and hit the road. It seems like they go everywhere together and ride daily. I’ve been a fan of Andrew’s Sportster since watching it come to life in the American forum back in 2014. His build thread is well documented and showcases his ability to take parts and create something awesome. I hope you enjoy Nebula as much as I do.

Bike name: “Nebula”
Engine, year and make, model, modifications: 1997 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200, stock bore, custom pipes, Ultima single fire ignition, BCM air cleaner, Buell carb bracket, CV-Performance carb internals

Fork: 6” over tubes, shaved and chromed trees, shaved, ribbed, and chromed lowers.
Chassis mods: custom 7/8 bars, flanders chrome clutch lever, wires ran internally through frame, semi-hidden ignition/light switch mount, hidden taillight “wire tube” welded/blended into fender, 520 chain conversion, Spiegler stainless brake line, 00-03 rear sportster caliper, stash pocket in seat.
Tire/wheel size and style:
FRONT: 21” chrome rim, Avon Speedmaster tire, chrome ball spool, Buchanans stainless spoke/nipples, custom tapered wheel spacers.
REAR: 18” chrome panhead replica rim, Dunlop k70 tire, 00-03 chrome hub, Buchanans stainless spokes/nipples, aluminum sprocket, stainless disc, custom wheel spacers.
Favorite thing about this bike: Riding it. I ride almost every day, and 99% of the time, my dog is with me (I think she likes going for rides more than I do). People get a real kick out of seeing her little head sticking out of the backpack.
Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc: Modified Haifley Bros sissy bar with 3 custom lights. The faces and lens are from traditional bullet lights, and the mounts i turned out of aluminum. I made the mini tool bag and mudflap out of leather. The passenger pegs are removable. They are comprised of mil-spec quick release pins going through aluminum pegs I made. With the push of a button they’re on and off the bike. Points cover started life as a belt buckle. Petcock pressed into the carb body where original inlet elbow was. Nothing really over the top or super custom, i just wanted to make a clean, simple bike.
